1) SLR (Second Class Luggage cum Guard Van – 4 Tone):

Purpose: SLR is a type of railcar used for carrying luggage and serving as an accommodation for the guard or ticket collector on passenger trains. It combines a luggage compartment and a seating area for the railway staff.

Capacity: The luggage compartment in an SLR can vary in size, but it's primarily used for storing passenger luggage, parcels, and other cargo items. The seating area typically accommodates railway personnel responsible for overseeing the train journey.

2) VPH (High-Capacity Parcel Van – 24 Tone):

Purpose: VPH, also known as a High-Capacity Parcel Van, is a specialized railcar designed for the transportation of parcels and goods. These vans are used to carry various types of cargo, including mail, parcels, and express freight.

Capacity: VPH railcars are designed to maximize cargo capacity while ensuring the safe and efficient handling of parcels and goods. They often have multiple compartments with secure storage areas to accommodate different types of cargo.

Rail freight operations in India are governed by the Indian Railways and adhere to established regulations to ensure safety and efficiency.

Air freight is calculated based on various factors, including the weight and dimensions of the cargo, the distance it needs to travel, and any additional services required. Airlines typically charge based on the greater of the actual weight (in kilograms) or the volumetric weight (dimensional weight) of the shipment.

Air freight within India usually takes 1-3 days for domestic shipments.

Air freight offers fast delivery, making it ideal for perishable goods and time-sensitive shipments. It provides a reliable option for long-distance transportation.

Air freight can be more expensive compared to other modes of transportation. It also has limitations on the size and weight of cargo, making it less suitable for bulk or oversized items.
